Wilder Adkins is from Dixie. He began writing songs on the guitar while in High School and picked up the Appalachian Dulcimer while in college in Birmingham, Alabama. He is one of the founding members of “Salmagundi”, a pirate themed band which only lasted one show. Wilder is known for writing the controversial ballad, “Sweet Potato Henderson”, which he is not legally allowed to release because his brother is the creator of Sweet Potato Henderson the character. Wilder’s first full-length LP, “Nightblooms”, came out in the summer of 2009. It was self recorded in Atlanta and Birmingham in the fall of 2008.
